Film Art In the Hood
Film Art In The Hood introduces youth to the world of film and visual storytelling from right where they live. This program gives students hands-on experience in acting, directing, camera work, lighting, sound, and editing, while teaching them how to tell real stories that matter. A key feature of this program is THE ARTS Movie—a youth-driven film project that brings together students, college filmmakers, and community partners to highlight the importance of arts, education, and opportunity. Young people are involved both in front of and behind the camera, gaining real production experience and seeing their work come to life. Film Art In The Hood is about more than film—it’s about identity, voice, and showing youth that their story has value.
